From the Drawing Board to the Battlefield

As a traditional illustrator, my goal has always been to bring that raw, high-contrast comic book energy into everything I create. Kinetic Breach wasn’t generated by an algorithm or mocked up exclusively on a screen. It started as a physical piece of original art.

To get that aggressive, moody vortex effect, I painted the original illustration using a heavy blend of acrylic paints and precise Micron pens on smooth Bristol board. The result is a striking, kinetic visual that stands in stark contrast to standard, mass-produced tokens.

I know that tabletop players and EDH enthusiasts are particular about how their cards feel. A proxy or a custom token shouldn’t feel like a flimsy piece of printer paper. I wanted this token to have the same snap and durability as the rest of your deck.
